Anderson Longmore & Higham are proud to announce that we have been accredited as a member of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), the recognised badge of excellence for the home buying and selling process, that was introduced earlier this year.
The CQS scheme requires practices to undergo rigorous assessment by the Law Society which marks the firm out as meeting the highest standards in the residential conveyancing process. Membership of the scheme includes compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is only open to members of the Law Society and to those who meet the demanding high standards the Law Society has set. It is supported and recognised by the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Land Registry, the Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association of British Insurers.
Law Society President John Wotton said that the Law Society introduced CQS to promote high standards in the home buying process.
"Buying a home is one of the largest purchases anyone will make in their lifetime, so it is essential that it is done to the highest standard by a solicitor. There are many different conveyancing service providers out there, making it difficult for home buyers to identify those which can ensure a safe and efficient level of service."
Christopher Wise, Head of Conveyancing at Anderson Longmore & Higham, says:
“This is an outstanding achievement for our conveyancing team. This award is recognition of the high standards we provide to our residential property clients and our commitment to ensure exceptional levels of client care, staff training and procedural standards. It is a signal to future home buyers of the excellent level of service we provide at what is often a stressful time for many people.
With the CQS there is now a strong and genuine kite mark for quality conveyancing services; alongside the new Conveyancing Protocol, which encourages a proactive approach, this should ensure the quickest and smoothest process possible.”
As a member of the CQS you can be sure that your conveyancer meets the high standards set by the Law Society, and that you will get a professional, high quality conveyancing service.
